A genuinely interesting car has just landed at Soukyo Motors.
A Lexus GS450h “version L” — champagne gold over tan semi-aniline leather, top-tier trim, hybrid V6.
And the kicker: first registered in July 2020. Lexus ended GS production the following month. This is, literally, a final-batch car. Low mileage, almost two years of inspection left, tan leather, version L — that combination is disappearing from the market fast.

The “Last GS” — Why It Matters
The Lexus GS lineage stretches back to 1991, when it began life as the Toyota Aristo. For nearly three decades it served as the rear-wheel-drive sedan between the LS and the IS, offered with everything from a 3.0-liter inline-six to a 5.0-liter V8. As SUVs took over the market, sales gradually declined, and in August 2020, the GS quietly bowed out after roughly 30 years.
This car was registered weeks before that final cutoff. Post-facelift spindle grille, L-signature LED lighting, nanoe climate control — it is the fully matured, final form of the GS. Nothing newer will ever be built.

3.5L V6 + Electric Motor — Hybrid as “Effortlessness”
The “450h” badge is not just a trim name. It denotes the 2GR-FXE 3.5-liter V6 paired with a substantial electric motor, producing a combined system output of approximately 341 horsepower. The V6 alone is more than adequate; the motor adds instant low-end torque off the line, smoothing the entire driving experience.
The dominant impression is not “fast” but “effortless.” Half throttle catches the car ahead. Lift slightly and the car glides on. It is a feeling no small-displacement turbo from Germany quite reproduces. Expect around 18.2 km/L on the JC08 cycle, 12-13 km/L in town, and 14-16 km/L on the highway — remarkably economical for a 3.5L V6.

What Makes “version L” the Top Spec
The GS450h was offered as the I package, F SPORT, and version L. Version L is the top trim. Specifically, in this car:
- Semi-aniline leather seats in tan — softer and more supple than standard leather, with a near-tactile suppleness
- Ventilated and heated front seats — comfortable summer and winter
- Genuine wood interior trim — on the door cards and center console
- Power rear-window sunshade + manual side rear shades — near-limousine rear seat treatment
- Power trunk
- Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound (DTS / Dolby Digital Plus capable)
The difference between a standard GS450h and a version L is precisely in these everyday-use details.

Key Equipment
- L-signature LED headlights + fog lights + auto-light

A Note from Soukyo
A 2020 build, 30,000 km, two years of inspection remaining, version L, tan leather — having all four conditions line up on a single GS450h is no longer something you “browse and find.” These are getting rare.
No new GS will ever be built again. The hybrid soundtrack of the 450h and the calm of leather-and-wood rear seating are worth experiencing at least once. Comfortable to drive, sensible to own long-term — this is a car you can keep for years.
Walk-ins, test drives, and quotes welcome. Currently displayed at our showroom in Yashio City, Saitama.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is the real-world fuel economy of the GS450h?
A. JC08 cycle figure is 18.2 km/L. In practice, expect roughly 12-13 km/L in city driving and 14-16 km/L on the highway — exceptionally efficient for a 3.5L V6.
Q. Should I worry about the hybrid battery?
A. The hybrid system has been verified as operating normally on arrival. Lexus hybrid systems have a strong durability reputation, with well-maintained units regularly reaching 150,000-200,000 km. Long-term service and any future replacement can be discussed on-site.
Q. Can the GS still be purchased new?
A. No. The GS line ended production and sales in August 2020. New replacements would be the LS, ES, or IS — otherwise, a carefully selected pre-owned example like this one.
Q. Are test drives available?
A. Yes, accompanied by a member of our staff. We ask that you book in advance.
Q. Do you offer financing and trade-ins?
A. Yes. We work with several financing partners and can run down-payment and monthly payment simulations on the spot. Free appraisal is available for trade-in vehicles.
